After their hit pairing in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan might be seen together in Khan’s Agent Vinod again. Buzz is that Padukone has been approached for a parallel lead in the movie which also stars Kareena Kapoor in the main lead.
If Padukone is to say yes, it will be the first time that Bebo and Dips will share screen space.
Interestingly, Bebo isn’t much of a Padukone fan. She had openly expressed her displeasure at Imtiaz Ali casting Padukone in Saif Ali Khan’s first home production Love Aaj Kal.
However, Saif-Deepika pairing was adored by the junta whereas Kareena-Saif jodi in Kurbaan and Tashan turned out be a damp squib. Probably this is why Bebo isn’t averse to Deepika joining the cast.
A source told Mid-Day, “Even though it’s a second lead, the character plays an important role. Saif is extremely professional as a producer and will cast the actor who will do proper justice to the role. And while Kareena and Deepika aren’t friends, that will not come in the way of casting.”
Well tabloids are sure to milk this scoop.
Deepika Padukone made several heads turn as decided to go ahead with a Saree and not any western outfit at the Cannes Film Festival this year. And she looked like a million bucks, stunning, graceful, elegant and beautiful.
It has come to hear that she draped the saree all by herself. Now that she is back, when asked how she managed to wear the saree so elegantly,
Deepika said, she loves wearing saree’s and is very comfortable wearing it herself. She had learnt how to wear it during the modeling days and gradually got better with it.
“I actually learnt to wear the Bengali way. But there are a couple of other ways I would like to wear it. And since I was a model I can wear in less than 30 seconds!” she says.

Yesterday Deepika Padukone met the legendary actor Shammi Kapoor at his residence. Deepika reached the veteran actor’s Walkeshwar house in the evening and spent more than two hours with him and his family. The pretty actress was thrilled as she also had dinner with Shammi Kapoor.
Incidentally, the legendary actor had been praising Deepika for a long time on a micro-blogging site and had also expressed his desire to meet her. Deepika had responded by promising him to promptly meet him.
A close friend of Deepika said,
“Shammi Kapoor and Deepika had a long conversation. Shammi loved her performance in Om Shanti Om and Love Aaj Kal. Deepika was flattered when he told her that she is one of the finest actresses and that he is her ardent fan. Deepika told Shammiji that his compliments mean the world to her and she considers it as one of the best days in her life. They also had a long conversation about his experiences and the Hindi film industry. Shammiji advised her on several matters and also discussed several of his hit films. Deepika, who has also seen most of his films, was particularly excited about discussing his trademark dancing style.”
Deepika was reluctant to speak about the meeting and said,
“I don’t want to discuss our conversation as it is personal and I would like to keep it that way.”
On being probed further, she said, “It was fun and I had a great evening. He took good care of me and we chatted over coffee and some good food.”
